Girls Camp, freestyle.ch, Rock the Rail

A couple of weeks ago I was coach at the "Girls Camp" in Zermatt, a camp initiated by Ursina Haller to show the kids that we girls can rock the park just as well as the guys! I loved it and am already looking forward to my next session with the girls. Snowboarding went really well, too, I think I have fully recovered now and can hit the kickers and pipe again!

Last weekend, the most famous freestyle event in Switzerland, namely freestyle.ch, took place and I was a proud part of the Rip Curl booth. We had one of the biggest crowd surrounding our little location and the kids were stoked about the caps and pens we gave them and let them be creative with. Feels so good to put a smile on a little kid's face!

In 2 weeks, I'm heading to The Hague for a big rail jam in the middle of the city. It's called the Protest Rock a Rail 2012 and I'm going there with my favourite jib buddies JJ, Mary, Isy and Gaia. We will leave a few days prior to the contest in order to also check out the Indoor parks in Holland.

Winter is coming, it's already getting cold! The Laax season is already supposed to start in 4 weeks. I'm getting excited!!

Does it get any sweeter than this

I passed all my exams and now I'm working on my master thesis, earning some money and most of all enjoying a beatiful summer in Switzerland. Last weekend I went snowboarding in Zermatt (Gravity Snowpark Zermatt). I'm officially addicted again and can't wait for next winter!!

I'm still alive

I haven't posted in here for a while. My season ending was pretty unspectacular because the weather sucked a lot. Nevertheless, Laax presented one of the best and most creative Spring Session parks EVER. Big thanks to the shapers!
I haven't been snowboarding ever since, focusing on my Master studies and spending some quality time with my loved ones. Summer has arrived in Zurich, which means I'm taking my books to the "beach" and study my ass of, jumping into the lake from time to time. Life's tough!
As I have to finish my master thesis this summer, I'm not going to be travelling a lot. Instead, I'm hoping to get some sexy slush'n'rail time in Zermatt where there's gonna be one of the finest summer parks in Europe, yeah. Speaking of Europe, the football championsships are also getting a lot of my attention at the moment. Go Deutschland!
Soon, some trailers will drop and you will be kept updated about girls snowboarding last winter. Sadly, I wasn't part of it. I can't be too sad, though, because even though my season lasted only 6 weeks, I went to 3 events in 3 different coutries and made it to the podium 3 times. On top of that I met some amazing people! One of my best "seasons".

PBRJ European Champs 2012

I got 3rd at the Peanut Butter & Rail Jam EU Finals in Avoriaz. I'm really thrilled, especially since 4 other swiss people made the top 5: Stephi, JJ, Julien and Buzzi. We had an amazing time and enjoyed our stay to the fullest! The girls podium was pretty sick, JJ (1st) and Rachida (2nd) killed it with a looot of steeze!

Last weekend, we did a little roadtrip to Grasgehren in Germany (Thank you for the big car, Never Summer!). One of the many Peanut Butter and Rail Jam Qualifications was going on there and we tried to make the top 5 in order to qualify for the Euro Champs which are gonna be next week in Avoriaz!
I made the top spot, Stephie and Barbara made 2nd and 4th, so it was a very successful day for us Swizzys. The level of riding was pretty nice, big props to Anika, she killed it.
Thank you Volcom, you always know how to throw a good event!

I'm looking forward to the Champs now, it's going to be such a great session, with JJ and Gaia and many many chicks from all other countries also coming along!

Jib Days Coverage

What a weekend! Perfect park, perfect conditions, perfect ambiente, perfect vibes!

I don't think I would've gotten back into snowboarding as quickly if it hadn't been for those two days. These girls were pushing me so hard and we had a great time together. On top of that, I won the Best Style award and some cash.
